Meet Dr. Gratton

Sean Gratton, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Sabates Eye Centers, serving patients in Kansas City. He specializes in neuro-ophthalmology.

Dr. Gratton earned his medical degree with honors from Georgetown University’s School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. After completing an internship in internal medicine at the Georgetown University Hospital, he completed his neurology residency at the Georgetown University Hospital. He then went on to complete his fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, where he also served as an instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Gratton’s specialty includes botulinum toxin treatment for blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm and chronic migraines, as well as in the visual complications of multiple sclerosis.Dr. Gratton was the chief administrative resident for the Georgetown Neurology Residency Program and the chief neurology resident for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, DC. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and his peer-reviewed articles have appeared in Neurology, the official journal of the American Academy of Neurology, and Clinical Ophthalmology.
