Rohit Krishna, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Sabates Eye Centers, serving patients in Kansas City. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts and glaucoma. His particular interests lie in the use of glaucoma tube shunts for the surgical management of complicated glaucoma cases.
Dr. Krishna completed his ophthalmology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, where he also served as chief resident. He then completed his glaucoma subspecialty training at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. He was honored as a recipient of a scholarship from the Heed Foundation during his fellowship.
Dr. Krishna is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, American Glaucoma Society, Missouri State Medical Association, Kansas City Ophthalmologic Society and the Metropolitan Medical Society.
Dr. Krishna is actively involved in resident and medical student education and research at the Eye Foundation of Kansas City and UMKC School of Medicine’s Department of Ophthalmology. Additionally, he is director of the glaucoma service and professor of ophthalmology at UMKC’s School of Medicine. Dr. Krishna has also published book chapters and numerous articles on the multiple areas of his expertise.
