Dr. Frank Cao (pronounced “sow”) is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He earned bachelor of science degrees in chemistry and biochemistry, both with distinction and high honors, from the University of Michigan. He received his medical degree in 2012 from Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Cao completed his ophthalmology residency at State University of New York Downstate Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, where he served as the administrative chief. He also completed a fellowship in cornea and glaucoma at the State University of New York Downstate Hospital.
Dr. Cao is a published author, writing about telemedicine for the “Review of Ophthalmology,” and he led research cases in glaucoma while in New York.
Dr. Cao speaks fluent Mandarin.
