Dr. Abraham Poulose received his medical degree with honors from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. After an internship at the University of Kansas, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the UMKC School of Medicine, where he also served as chief resident. He took his subspecialty training in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous at the Eye Foundation of Kansas City/Department of Ophthalmology, UMKC School of Medicine. Dr. Poulose is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Poulose is involved in clinical research on macular degeneration and diabetic eye diseases. He is an associate professor for the Department of Ophthalmology, UMKC School of Medicine.
