SPECIALIZES IN OCULOFACIAL PLASTIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY.
Dr. Matthew Sniegowski is a board-certified ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He received his medical degree with honors from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Mich. After completing a medical internship at the Exempla St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colo., he went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the University of Colorado Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute. He then completed his fellowship in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas. Following his fellowship he spent time educating others as an assistant professor at the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Louisville.
He has medical licenses in both Kansas and Missouri. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a member of the American Society of Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and is an active member of their educational committee. He has appeared multiple times in peer reviewed journals including: JAMA Ophthalmology, Head and Neck, and the British Journal of Ophthalmology.
