SPECIALIZES IN THE TREATMENT OF GLAUCOMA AND CATARACTS.
Dr. Rohit Krishna is board-certified and fellowship-trained in glaucoma. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, where he also served as chief resident. He then completed his glaucoma subspecialty training at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. He was honored as a recipient of a scholarship from the Heed Foundation during his fellowship.
His primary area of interest and expertise is the diagnosis and management of glaucoma and cataracts. His particular interests lie in the use of glaucoma tube shunts for the surgical management of complicated glaucoma cases.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, American Glaucoma Society, Missouri State Medical Association, Kansas City Ophthalmologic Society and the Metropolitan Medical Society.
He is actively involved in resident and medical student education and research at the Eye Foundation of Kansas City and UMKC School of Medicine’s Department of Ophthalmology. Additionally, he is director of the glaucoma service and professor of ophthalmology at UMKC’s School of Medicine. Dr. Krishna has also published book chapters and numerous articles on the multiple areas of his expertise.
